托福阅读高频背景词汇有哪些

托福阅读高频词汇如下:

1. 关于人的高频词汇:学术阅读中最常出现的就是各种科学家,以ist和er结尾居多。

例如:anthropologist,archaeologist,paleontologist,zoologist,geographer,astronomer

(人类学家,考古学家,古生物学家,动物学家,地理学家,天文学家)

这类的词汇大家无需记住拼写,只要在阅读中出现可以辨认就足以。在面对未知的专有名词时,至少要判断他们存在于那个学科,才好进行下一步的推理。

2. 关于地质、地貌的高频词汇:这类文章在托福学术阅读中比重很大。建议大家对常用词汇进行积累。

例如:volcano,layer,conglomerate,karst,porous,permeable,meteorolite,asteroid

火山,(地)层,砾岩,喀斯特地貌(石灰岩的一种地形),多孔的(有透气性与透水性),可渗透的,陨石,小行星

3. 关于气候、动物与生态的高频词汇:与生物和地球有关的话题是托福永远的宠儿。

4.关于 历史、考古方面的高频词汇,这类题材是分水轮流转的对象,也要加以注意。尤其是历史文章的考法不是单纯的讲古,而是从各个层面切入,有很多的表现形式。可能是古人类的迁徙,那就是人类历史。贸易和交通运输的发展,那就是经济史,等等。

托福词汇积累并非朝夕之事,而听说读写四科之间的词汇也并未泾渭分明。一般而言,威学都会建议考生分类去记忆。如对话的词汇可以分为学习场景、生活场景。讲座部分的词汇可以分为艺术类(艺术家和作品、某种艺术形式的发展史等)、动物学(动物的行为、动物与环境的关系)、植物学(植物的特征行为、植物与环境的关系、植物与动物的关系)、考古学(对古代文物的挖掘、某个地区人民生活的各方面研究)、地球科学(地理:关于地球的基本知识,如水循环、板块运动。地质类:常见的地质现象,如火山冰川沙漠岩洞等)、天文学(天文学专业词汇较多,要么是宇宙起源及各种星体形成的理论,要么是几个主要行星的发现)、气象学(各种天气现象,水风云雨等)、物理与化学(物理化学常识,如物理能量转换、化学元素周期表、某种化学元素的理论发现,物理化学的专业词汇也常出现先其他学科中,需要特别注意)、社会学(包括商业:商业行为中的应用方法、心理:社会现象及人的心理与行为、政府:常考美国政府正面的历史行为、科技:电脑及机器人等新的方法和应用等)等几大类。

其实一般而言,当你知道这些类别大概的主要内容就会知道如何去记、记那些词汇的了。

托福口语必考的三类词汇有哪些

考生在备考的时候要掌握在某些场景中经常出现的一系列词汇,强迫自己在看到同类型的题目的时候立刻反应出来自己要使用哪些词汇。

一.教育类型词汇

参加托福考试的学生基本上都是要到国外去留学的,所以托福考试特别是口语考试主要考察的是考生在国外的大学中学习的能力。在考试中,口语task2部分出现话题最多的是教育类话题,在口语task3和task5中,也都是围绕着教育类话题来出题的。所以托福考生在备考的时候一定不要忽视对于教育类话题的词汇的掌握。

二.媒体类型词汇

当今世界,是一个媒体快速发展的时代。几乎每个家庭中都有电视和电脑。走在大街上,喧闹的音乐可谓从未停止过;每逢节假日,各种**大片层出不穷。这种现象当然也会纳入托福口语考试中出题者的考量范围中。所以在备考托福口语的时候,也需要考生积累一些在媒体类话题中经常出现的词汇,比如在影视剧中经常出现的潮词,在广告中经常出现的广告词等等,以避免考生在面对这种话题的时候出现无话可说的状态。

三.工作类型词汇

参加托福考试的考生不一定都是在校的学生,也有很多是已经参加工作的考生。所以在托福口语考试中,有很多时候,会让考生说说对于已经做过的工作或者自己期待的工作的想法。这个时候,如果考生没有一定的积累,就很难组织答案了。所以在备考托福口语的时候,希望考生掌握一些在工作类话题中经常出现的词汇。

四.家庭类型词汇

在托福口语考试中,需要考生用自己发生过的事情证明论点。而在家庭中,在我们和身边的至亲接触的过程中,往往就会发生很多很多难以忘记的事情。所以在备考托福口语的时候,需要考生掌握一些在家庭中经常出现的词汇,比如grandaunt姑婆,姨婆;granduncle伯公,cousin堂兄弟(姐妹),表兄弟(姐妹);等等。
